Acid etched glass is one type of frosted glass which is produced by soaking or spraying the glass sheets with hydrofluoric acid to create a satin-like finish into the surface of glass sheets. Its frosted surface can diffuse the light and offer a protection of privacy.

AG glass, also referred to as anti-glare glass, is a type of surface processing glass. It is produced by creating a matte surface to reduce the light reflectivity from 8% to less than 1%. The production process of AG glass is the same as acid etched glass, but its addition ratio of various acid solutions is different to ordinary acid etched glass. Compared to other acid etched glass, AG glass has higher requirements for surface roughness and light transmittance.
